The directions getting out of the city are driving towards Villa Nueva via Aguilar Batres street, or taking VAS which is faster but its a toll road.
Once you reach Amatitlan you basically just need to drive straight until you reach Puerto San Jose and you turn to the left. You will find many resorts in this area.
